Use Desktop after Course Finishes

A handy aspect of DaDesktop is that participants can easily carry on using their course machine for practice once the training wraps up. Before the course concludes, participants receive an email asking whether they'd like to keep accessing their desktop machine afterwards.

 

Normally, each participant's course desktop is removed shortly after the course ends. If you want to keep your desktop to practise your lab work from the course, you can clone it into a 'Standalone Desktop' for ongoing use.

Simply head to your Course, then to your Desktop machine, and click the 'Use desktop after course' option next to your machine.

 

Next, DaDesktop walks you through the straightforward process and lets you 'Enable' this action.

Once Enabled, you'll see the following appear next to your course machine:

To get to your Standalone machine after the course is done, click on the Standalones menu at the top of your screen.

Machines that haven't been used for a month will be removed, but we'll send an email to users ahead of time, giving plenty of notice if anyone wants to keep using any Standalone machines they have.
