Course VPN

The Course VPN feature (CVPN) enables desktops to connect directly to one another.

This replaces the "Turn off network isolation" option. Previously, when network isolation was disabled, desktops on the same server could talk to each other, but this didn't extend across different servers or data centres.

Course VPN lets any desktop added to the specific course communicate, no matter which server or data centre it's on.

This feature is only supported on Ubuntu and Windows 10. For other operating systems, you can still use "Turn off network isolation".

Here are some terminal screenshots that display the CVPN interface as seen from the terminal, along with additional properties of the connected interface.

The screenshots below show the VPN network interface that is set up when training workstations are created. Specifically, you'll see two student workstation terminals displaying the `edge0` network interface, which is the course VPN.
