Recycle Bin
Once a course finishes, all associated machines—including Fresh Start, Trainer, and all participant machines—are deleted after a brief delay.
We've introduced the ability to recover these machines from the Recycle Bin for some time after they've been removed. How long they stay restorable varies—it's influenced by things like server disk space, overall course usage, and not a fixed schedule—but generally you can expect machines to be recoverable for at least a couple of months after the course ends.
For each machine, you can Restored it back to its original course if that course still exists. If not, you can Restored to a Standalone Desktop instead, or choose to Deleted it permanently.

Check the Recycle bin icon to see its status. A black icon means restorable machines are waiting; a greyed-out icon indicates the bin is empty.
You can search the recycle bin list using a machine's name, server name, or course name.

How to Restore or Delete Your Machines from the Recycle Bin
- Restore - Use this to bring back a machine that was removed from a course, returning it to the same course. If the course has already ended, you won't be able to restore it there; you'll need to restore it as a Standalone machine (see next).
- Restore to Standalone Desktop - This option is typically used when your course is finished and restoration to it isn't possible. Creating a Standalone machine gives you greater flexibility, since it remains available for as long as you need it.
- Delete - Select this to permanently remove a machine from the Recycle Bin. Please note that once deleted, the machine cannot be recovered.
- Empty Recycle Bin - Clicking the red Empty Recycle Bin button permanently deletes all machines from the bin, so they cannot be used again.
