SSH Access

SSH AccessIn Brazil, it is often requested to have SSH access to DaDesktop machines to make it easier for course participants and trainers to access their Desktops machines from their own laptop or desktop PC. Many users find it more comfortable to type commands in their local terminal rather than using a terminal within a remote desktop environment.

While it's technically feasible, we don't allow SSH access in this situation because it would unnecessarily expose the DaDesktop course machines to serious security risks.

We've introduced a drag-and-drop file transfer capability so you can effortlessly move files from your personal laptop or desktop into the DaDesktop environment. Many of the earlier requests for full SSH access stemmed from the lack of a file transfer method, but now that this feature is available, working with DaDesktop is even simpler.

It's also worth mentioning that we now provide full QEMU Spice Desktop support across Windows and Linux OS templates. This makes copying and pasting commands from your local machine into the DaDesktop instance much smoother than before, and it works well even if you're on a Mac or using non-English character sets.

If you're operating DDOP - DaDesktop on Premise servers, SSH access is available when needed.
