Connecting Via RDP

For establishing an RDP connection, you have a few client options at your disposal:

• Remmina
• KRDS
• Freerdp2-x11

Among these, freerdp2-x11 stands out as the sole client with support for multiple monitors.
 

To connect via RDP using several displays:
 

Setting up freerdp2-x11 within DaDesktop Private Node (ddpn)

sudo apt install freerdp2-x11

Establishing a link to your Work Desktop

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666

Exiting the session

CTRL+ALT+Enter

or

Windows Start Menu > Log Off -> Disconnect

 

Redirecting sound and microphone

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa

 

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:10.0.3.4  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa /gfx +window-drag  -compression -sec-rdp -sec-tls -encryption /gdi:hw /video
