Enhancing Your Connection Performance
Occasionally, DaDesktop will alert you if your connection shows signs of high latency (a delay) that might hinder performance.
If that happens, review the following steps to boost your connection quality.

Steps to take
- If you can, connect via Ethernet. When using Wi-Fi, run a speed test beforehand (for instance, on speedtest.net) to check your connection.
- Stay as near to the wireless access point as you can. If available, prefer the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band over 2.4 GHz, since 2.4 GHz generally delivers slower speeds and is more susceptible to interference.
- Turn off or deactivate any VPNs or proxies before entering the course.
- If feasible, turn off any security software that could interfere with your network, as they can sometimes increase latency and reduce speed.
-
If your network is subject to content or filtering rules, consider reaching out to your company's IT support team for help. Adding these domain names to your allowlist can make a difference:
1. https://\*.npg.io (i.e., any host under .npg.io)
2. https://dd4t.dadesktop.com - Steer clear of large file downloads or uploads while the course is running. For example, pause system updates on Windows, Mac, or Linux until the session ends.
-
Your internet speed should exceed: "10 Mbps download & 1 Mbps upload"
